Gevanni, who was on the monitors at the time, alerted Hal and Rester. Near was irritated, but not surprised, to see them coming; he smacked over his card house in annoyance and quickly lifted the inter-building phone, and called Mello's room to let him know what was happening. They were going to need to put their plan into action sooner rather than later, it would seem.
